Family life,
moving together.
Your week, your lists, your trips and the small decisions — gathered into a single, quiet home that everyone in the household can see. And when you want a hand, Concierge — your family's assistant — keeps it all running smoothly.
See how it works →Running a household is a lot
Everyone keeps the family in their head a little differently. Kinrows gives you one place to keep it together.
It's built for real homes — two parents, kids, the grandparents who help out, the sister across town. Everyone sees what matters, and nothing important slips through.
Plan the week together
A calendar the whole house actually keeps up.
Week and month views with everyone's events colour-coded by person. Add an appointment in seconds, see who's attending, and never double-book a Saturday again.
- Shared family calendar with per-person colours and recurring events
- Two-way sync with the calendar already on your phone — device events, shared with the household
- Attach the related bits right to an event — a task, a receipt, an itinerary
- Care Cascade — need a pickup, the dog or the house covered? Propose time windows; helpers say yes from a simple link (no app needed), and it lands on both calendars
- Birthdays and anniversaries that recur on their own
Lists, dinner & decisions
Make the call together — lists, dinner and all.
Keep the shared lists everyone can tick off, let the pantry answer "what's for dinner?", and settle the little debates with a quick poll. No more "did anyone grab…?"
- Shared lists — as many as you need, everyone can edit and tick off
- Pin a list to the dashboard, drag to reorder, move items between lists — groceries sort themselves by category
- Pantry — what's in the pantry, fridge and freezer, with a heads-up before things expire
- Cook — real dinner ideas from what you actually have ("you have 4 of 6"), and the missing items hop onto the grocery list in one tap
- Cooking Mode — a full-screen, mess-proof view with big steps and tap zones for flour-covered hands; the screen stays awake till you're done
- Decisions — share a link, photo or quick poll, then vote, react and comment so a choice actually gets made
Stay in touch
The family chat that isn't buried in your phone.
Private messages and group chats in one calm place — and you can pull any item, a list, a decision, an event, straight into the conversation. Keep private notes, and a feed for the moments worth saving.
- Messages — private DMs and group chats, photos included
- Quote any item — a list, poll or event — right into a chat
- In-chat polls, for when the group chat needs to actually decide
- Notes — private by default, shared and co-edited when you choose
- Family feed for the photos and everyday wins — reactions, comments and "on this day" memories
Stay close, even apart
Trips, arrivals, friendly rivalries and the dates that matter.
Know when the grandparents are on their way. Plan a trip with stays and an itinerary. Keep a little fitness rivalry going. And never miss a birthday with a gift idea ready.
- Trips & arrivals — share a trip, see "30 minutes away," and the "arrived safely" ping sends itself the moment you pull in
- Itineraries with stays, places and plans — hosts approve stay requests right in the app
- Rivalries — step & stairs challenges (1v1, teams or free-for-all), synced from Apple Health, with levels to climb and a proper finish-line celebration
- Gifts & dates — ideas per person, tracked from bought to wrapped to given, with a nudge before the day
- Milestones — log the firsts, keep the key dates, and get a family year-in-review
- Routines — track a cycle or a baby's sleep, and follow a gentle, research-backed sleep-training program from newborn to 4 years
The idea behind Kinrows
A family does better when it rows together.
Kin, pulling in the same direction — that's the whole name. When everyone can see what needs doing, takes an oar, and cheers the others on, a household stops feeling like a juggling act and starts feeling like a team.
So much of family life is invisible — the remembering, the planning, the "did anyone…?". Research on the household mental load is blunt: when that work is made visible and shared, stress falls and partnership grows. Kinrows brings it into the open, so no one carries it alone.
Children who know their family's story — its plans, its rhythms, its in-jokes — are measurably more resilient and secure. One shared space for the calendar, the trips and the everyday keeps everyone in the same boat, not five separate ones.
Decades of relationship research land on the same finding: a win that's shared and cheered is worth far more than one kept quiet. Kinrows surfaces the milestones — a first goal, a finished challenge, a small victory — so the whole family gets to celebrate together.
Informed by research on sharing the household's mental load, on family narratives and resilience, and on how celebrating each other's good news strengthens our closest bonds.

Your family's life stays your family's.
Kinrows is built around households. Your home's calendar, money, lists and messages are walled off to the people you've actually invited — enforced at the data layer, not just hidden in the interface.
We don't sell data, we don't run ads, and we never train AI models on your family's content. There's nothing to mine, because the app isn't built to mine it.
Each home's data is scoped to its members. Other families can't see it — by design, in the database.
The app is free because it's simple and honest — not because you're the product.
Invite people you trust. Share across families with clans only when you want to.
Each phone gets its own revocable key that rotates on every use — no password stored on the device — with optional email two-factor. Change your password, and every other device signs out.
Concierge · Your family's assistant
The assistant that keeps family life running smoothly.
Every household deserves a hand with the invisible work. Concierge is the assistant your family can bring on — it knows your calendar, lists, budget, trips and birthdays, stays a step ahead of the week, and does the doing when you ask. The app is complete without it; turn it on when a little help would go a long way.
One warm, prioritised read on your family right now — what's today, what's slipping, what needs a decision. On newer iPhones the summary is written on-device with Apple's models: private, even offline.
Ask in plain words — "move the dentist task to Friday," "take milk off the grocery list," "I spent $42 at Costco," "tell Sophie I'll be home late." Concierge creates, edits, moves and clears things across every corner of Kinrows — calendar, lists, budget, polls, gifts, messages, even the step competition — over a hundred distinct actions — then tells you exactly what it did.
Hold the Concierge button anywhere in the app and just say it — "add batteries to the Costco list." It gets to work in the background while you carry on.
"Trip in 14 days, no stay booked yet." "Leo's birthday is close." A quiet heads-up between briefs — helpful, throttled, never naggy.
Tell it once — the facts, the preferences, the quirks of your home — and it keeps your family's context, so you can pick a conversation back up days later instead of starting over.
Every change Concierge makes is checked against your own household — it can't reach anyone else's. And the consent-sensitive things, like who joins a group, stay behind an explicit tap from you.
Concierge arrives with the app in September. One subscription unlocks it for everyone at home — always optional, and the core app stays free. Tiers are below.
